Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

Add honey, soy sauce, and garlic granules to small pan and set the heat to low. In a small cup, whisk the corn starch into the water. Pour the corn starch mixture into the honey garlic and bring the heat up to medium high. Whisk everything together over medium high heat and keep it on a low boil for about 5 minutes. When the sauce is nice and thick, turn off the heat and set the sauce aside.

Step 2

Set the oven to 375 and line two sheet pans with parchment.

Place the cubed yams into a large bowl, drizzle with olive oil and toss with salt, pepper, and a sprinkle of garlic granules. Pour the yams onto one of the sheet pans and spread them evenly over the pan.

Step 3

Place the chicken wings into the same bowl that you used for the yams and pour the honey garlic sauce over the wings. Use a spatula to toss the wings until they are well coated in sauce, then line the wings up in rows on the other lined sheet pan.

Place the pan with the yams and the pan with the chicken wings into the oven for about 45 minutes – yams tender to the fork and chicken golden and cooked through.

Step 4

When the chicken and yams are about 15 minutes from being done, put the broccoli on to steam. Steam it to tender crisp, drain well and toss in butter and cover to keep warm until everything else is done.

When everything is done, share the yams and chicken wings over 4 plates along with a serving of broccoli, and enjoy!
